Expanding search to several databases

The search can cover several databases at the same time. For this purpose first select additional databases, you will then automatically search in several databases and the titles from the additional databases selected added to the title window.

The databases included in the configuration can be selected in Add database.

  • Click the + in front of Add database.

  • Then select the required database.

The database is displayed in the list of databases

If you display the search results, a line is displayed per database.

Not all search terms are available in all databases. E. g. you cannot search in KNV-BG by scale, age of reader, ISMN or title number.

The number of titles per database is displayed in Search results.

All titles found in the databases are added to the title window.

Added means:

First all the titles found in the first database (generally KNV) are displayed, then the additional titles found in the second database and then the additional titles found in the third database etc.
No duplicate titles or titles that occur several times are displayed, the additional titles found in the later databases are added to the title window for the first database (the order in which you open the databases is therefore important).
The duplicate titles or titles that occur several times are however not lost, they can also be displayed in the title window later (Displaying information from other databases).
