Pricing with factor or fixed value

With basic, commodity group and publisher pricing models you can calculate the retail price via one or more graduated factors or combine specific price ranges into price scales via fixed values.

Price scales are produced by fixed values.

Example:
All articles with prices from 0 to 9.99 are given the retail price 14.98
All articles with prices from 10 to 19.99 are given the retail price 24.49
All articles with prices from 20.00 are given the retail price 29.99!

The price is calculated using factors.

Example:
Price = 9.50 x factor 2.5 => retail price = 23.75
Price = 19.80 x factor 2 => retail price = 39.60
Prices that are above the highest price entered are all multiplied by its factor.

Additional charge

In the Zusatzgebühr [Additional charge] field enter an amount that is added to all prices.

Rounding

By specifying the rounding, you define how an amount is rounded after calculation with the aid of the factor:

  • Hundredth amount the amount calculated is indicated to the hundredth (19.89; 46.79; 25.31 etc.).
  • Tenth amount the amount calculated is rounded up or down to the tenth (19.90; 46.80; 25.30 etc.).
  • Half amount the amount calculated is rounded up or down to .50 or .00 (20.00; 47.00; 25.50 etc.)
  • Unit amount the amount calculated is rounded up or down to the unit (20.00; 47.00; 25.00 etc.).
  • Hundred amount the amount calculated is rounded up or down to the hundred (e.g. useful for the Turkish Lira).
  • Threshold value the amount calculated is rounded up or down to the amount given in the Schwellenwert [Threshold value] field.
  • Enter in the Schwellenwert [Threshold value] field a value to which prices are to be rounded up or down (for example: 0.49 or 0.98). In this way the calculated prices are rounded up or down to the value stated.
  • In the Anzeige in eigener Währung [Indication in custom currency] field select the option...
    Yes, if the price calculated is to be displayed with the currency text that you have entered in the program options.
    No, if prices are to be displayed with the currency text saved in the database.

The checkout, invoicing and inventory can only manage one currency. If you use these functions, set Anzeige in eigener Währung [Indication in custom currency] to Yes.
